Summary: This article details process for the user to suppress the Groups in the new Movie Magic Budgeting program.
Issue: How do I suppress any Group in the new Movie Magic Budgeting program?
Solution:
Suppressing Groups allows you to omit certain amounts from the overall budget total, while keeping those amounts visible in your budget.
- Once inside of your budget, in the menu bar, click on Setup and then Groups. You may also click the Groups icon from the toolbar. The Budget Setup window will appear, with the Groups section displayed.
- Scroll through the list of groups to locate the group you wish to suppress. You can sort the groups by clicking on the column headers.
- Once you have located the desired group, look in the InBT column. InBT stands for In-Budget Total.
- To suppress any group, uncheck this checkbox. Once unchecked, this group will not be included in the budget total.
- Note the group has been unchecked, the number in the Total column will remain the same, but the number in the Active Total will become zero.
- Once you have suppressed the group or groups that you wish, click the Close button at the bottom of your window. Note that for lines of the suppressed groups, the font and background color will change at the detail level and there will be an Excl in the Subtotal amount, indicated that amount has been excluded.
