Solution:
- First, access the Details Level of an account in your budget. From your Top Sheet, select an account by double-clicking the number on the left-hand side of any row.
- Then double-click on any account to see the detail. You may also use Movie Magic Budgeting 7 shortcut keys.
- In this example, select the Unit Production Manager (UPM). If using the default view, the first column you will see is Description.
- Enter a description for this individual, such as their name.
- Since you are dealing with a person, you will be calculating the labor.
- The next set of columns will be used to determine the amount of time worked and the corresponding rate.
- If the UPM is working 4 days, then enter 4 in the Amount column, and in the Units column, you can select units of work. By keying in D, the program will display a list of possible choices, include Days.
- Next is the multiplier column, which will take the previously entered amount of work and multiply it by the next column, which is Rate.
- Enter the daily rate of the Unit Production Manager. The subtotal will appear in the subtotal column.
- If you wish to add any additional details outside of the default view, click the icon at the top-right to see all available columns.
